If you look at the thermostat housing you will see a blue sensor sticking out of the left side. This is for the fuel injection so ignore it. If you look on the side of the thermostat housing that is facing toward the front of the van you should see the temp sensor for the gauge there. You know what it looks like because you have a new one (little brass thing with a small post coming out of the middle). Hope this helps.
