If you want to lower compression for forced induction, you'll likely be better off with a thicker copper gasket than two stock gaskets, less chance of blowing it. And yeah if that passat's belt went like the guy says, the valves might be munched already. You could swap the whole head, and do a thicker gasket while you're there, but I really doubt this is the path you're looking for. The more you play, the more you'll pay. Find a stock engine in decent shape and don't unseal the long block, it'll be much more reliable than if you have to open it up and try to reseal it yourself. The last thing you want is to wrap up your DIY conversion and have the head gasket blow on you when you're wringing it out.
