Hello all--

I've seen this on the streets here with a For Sale sign. It's not mine, and I know nothing about it, but what I've put here.

1984 Adventurewagen with the high top. Odometer reads 129,827 (your guess is as good as mine) Automatic In-dash air conditioner with radio mounted in proper box at the gear selector. Ext. is White with brown stripes/graphics that look "original" and peeling a bit. (An 80s kind of stripe/ dress up package.) Overall body is straight with some dings. Nothing major on cursory inspection.

I'll give you a minute to look up "cursory"....

It has a current inspection sticker to May 2008, CA tags. CA.smog website says it passed smog in Aug. 2007. The interior looks like it's all there. A little dirty, but I didn't notice rips or tears. The seats look like original brown or beige vinyl VW uphostery scheme. There's a sink, stove, & fridge, and table.

I had seen it in the lot of? a mechanic here for a few weeks, and now it's on the street For Sale. Sometimes parked on Crescent Heights Blvd. just north of Pico Blvd. and sometimes Crescent Heights Blvd. just south of San Vicente Blvd., in Los Angeles, CA.

If I had the cash and space I'd buy it. Which is to say: it's the last thing I need.

But it does look solid and complete. It's definitely in need of clean up. And as far as how it runs and all, I have no idea.

I'm just passing on the information.

The phone is 310-913-0762.

It's also listed on Craigslist, but not as an Adventurewagen, just as a "VW Camper." But it is an Adventurewagen wityh a high roof, I've seen it. Could it be a deal?

Best, Jeff 83.5 Westy LA,CA
