Is there a 1,9 vacuum diagram online anywhere. Searches have not turned up much.

Look for the massive vacuum leak such as a cracked or disconected intake boot or the hose connection for the brake booster or auxilary air regulator.

What is happening is that while cranking the cold strt valve is spraying fuel. Evenutally enough is in manifold for engine to start. That excess air is allowing for the high engine revs. After that fuel burns, since the AFM is not telling the ECU to add the correct amount of fuel, the engine dies.
