HAHA! thank you all for your input, i will say my head was definitely
spinning for a minute there. after calling the local u-pull-it's and the
local junk yards, i have come up empty handed. boo. (possibly because i was
asking for the wrong items;) but i will just have to keep my eyes open for
the seat that i need.... which is... (drum roll please) 85-91 Vgon GL
weekender-ish? i live in Oregon and i cant imagine this being too hard to
find .. this place is like Vanagon MECCA! so thank you for all the help
REALLY! i now have the direction i want to go...shoulda just bought a westy
;)

hey and if any one has any more leads as to where i would have more success
in finding the upgrade seat
