Howdy List,

Here is a subject I haven't heard much about on the list. Maybe it's because only one or two model years are involved.

I have a 1987 Wolfburg and for a while now (Months) I get this "Squalling, like a dry bearing???) from the front of the van. I have replaced the front wheel bearing but, that did not cure this problem

I do not know how to describe the sound any better then a dry bearing noise. It only does it some times then it goes away and I won't hear it for days or weeks. It's not weather related nor heat related.

My thinking is maybe the gear box for the OXS sensor that the 1987 had is needing oil/greese but I don't know how or what to put in it. I can't distinguish that it's coming from one side or the other.

If it's not that the I am real stumped. Hope someone can help and perhaps shed some quiet on this noise.

Thanks in advance,

Chris Snyder </HTML>
