But this one has an automatic, which has a 1.00 3rd (final gear) and a 4.09 R&P.

With stock size tires, 819 revs/mile, 70mph would come at 3900 rpm, a little high for a turbo diesel. A more comfortable 3500 rpm (but lower would be better) gets you only 63 mph.

215/75/15 tires, 756 revs/mile, would reduce 70 mph to 3600 rpm 235/15/15 tires, 717 revs/mile, woudl reduce 70 mph to 3400 rpm. (A little front fender lip trimming will be necessary)

So with larger tires you can get the rpms down to a reasonable level for a turbo diesel...but a R&P change would be better....however very expensive on an auto tranny.

I doubt they have really changed the auto tranny gearing.....Buyer beware...ask them.
