My heart goes out to all the people involved in those raging wildfires around So Cal right now. My S.O. is now in Borrego, down near Salton Sea and says that the mountains east of San Diego are an inferno and that some 250,000 residents near Julian, Ramona, Mt. Laguna, Mt Palomar have been ordered to evacuate and are showing up down in Borrego Springs at an improvised evacuation center...Bringing horses, and whatever they can...hoping for the winds to mellow so the fire crews can make some progress...This follows a huge fire a few years back.... A wild fire of that size is not something that really can be 'controlled' by puny mankind... Don Hanson |
