A vanagon sure is a great choice for an evacuation vehicle. You can fit lots of stuff inside, and you can sleep comfortably for a few days if need be. Ours has been loaded and ready to go for 2 days while we sit and wait for the reverse 911 call. Luckily, none has come. Lots of smoke and ash raining down. We're OK in San Diego, but not too sure about our weekend retreat outside Julian. That one burned 4 years ago so this all is a bit of Deja Vu. Walter 85 Vanagon San Diego |
