Actually, Greg is minimizing the time involved. I'd say, with all the help
we had, it took 8 to 10 person-hours of work. There was a big crew to take
the top off the van - would have been very hard without them - and a bunch
of people got to it with screwdrivers attaching the new canvas to the top.
But once the top was back on the roof, one other helpful person (whose name
I've forgotten - Canadian from Toronto) and I spent a lot of time - and a
LOT of sweat, it was really hot out - attaching the bottom of the canvas to
the van.
A little about the experience here:
http://www.joyhecht.net/backontheroad/07-06-05/June5-07.html (interspersed
with other comments about Bus Fusion). The middle picture of a man in red
t-shirt with hat - the one who isn't Greg - is the helpful person whose name
I don't remember.
Fortunately we were all done by late afternoon when a whopper of a
thunderstorm came through!
Joy
