Your seats sound like those without arm rests.  I like the arm rests.
Changing a Vanagon seat is easy to do. There is a tiny  triangular shaped
piece of metal on the outboard track, near the front. Lift it with a screw
driver and just slide the seat all the way forward till it comes off the
end of the tracks. Kinda like chewing gum and walking all at the same
time.Be careful.

If anyone has replaced Vanagon seats with arm rests, with seats without
armrests, how do you  like them?
