have found small vacuum leaks in several places. Check your injector seals, they can get old and cracked. Also check the hose connections at the charcoal canister near the right rear wheel. Additionally I put zip ties on all of the hose connections surrounding the AAR system and added clamps to the 4 intake manifold hoses. After fixing these areas, my idle smoothed out considerably. The only place I believe I may still have a vacuum leak is at the throttle body shaft. If I rev it quickly, I can hear a bit of air rushing in. Does anyone have a source for new TB shaft seals or a procedure for replacing them?

Thanks, Mark. I'll try that. Hang on, I'll be right back.

Okay, using the fuel pressure regulator port I read 10'' of Hg (not psi as I said earlier, goes to show my inexperience!). This after engine has warmed up and the aux air regulator (AAR) has closed.

M'kay, that seems low. Yet I can't find a leak anywhere. Have sprayed various hydrocarbons like carb cleaner and propane on and around any place where a leak could live and nothing has any effect on Mr Engine.

Getting ready to start huffing the stuff.

It should be mentioned that if there is indeed a leak, it makes sense that the engine isn't slowing as it should when I choke the AAR hose. And mightn't a leak contribute to my mileage being less than average?

Gotta find that stupid leak
