Hey all,

Still haven't got the liftgate dampners in.

Do have some miracle polish that a guy was selling at the covered bridge festival to try and spiffy up the outside, regardless of the rust.

We have rain here that I'd like to send to California. Heard the EPA turned down Russia's offer of one of their water planes.

Intrigued by the idea of some listmembers using their Westies as escape vehicles/emergency housing. I pray that they come back and find nothing out of sorts.

Heard some people died because of a few firebugs. As the son, and grandson of a firefighter I think that arsonist should be hung out to dry.

I won a cylinder head on eBay, which I will pay for when I get paid on Wednesday. It still leaves one other cylinder head to get, but the guy that selling me this one claims he got the details on how to rebuild the cylinder heads off of the list. He said it wasn't too difficult to do, but I know I don't have those kind of tools. A guy I know may have, but he's hard to get in touch with.

Looking forward to cleaning out my garage this weekend, and preparing it for the Colonel (our 1984 non-working Westy) to move in. I had thought about just moving everything out of the garage, and then moving it back in around him. There may be enough space in the garage for me to move everything over, and put the Colonel in smack center of the garage, ut I'm not too terribly sure about that option. What would you guys on the list do? I don't want to disrupt my temple of VW collection, nor my son's temple of R/C mobiles collection. We also, interestingly enough, have files in our garage.

Think the idea of keeping the Westies off of the winter salt is a good one. I plan on getting the Taurus back from that guy, but I have got to come up with more money.

Been seeing a lot of Sprinters around lately. Not sure why.

RE: Cabriolet. I saw one for sale here in IN. VW is one of few manufacturers who insulate their convertible tops. I don't know about the snow-worthiness of said auto, but if it has the factory top, or even a factory replica replaced top, the driver should be pretty warm in the winter time.

I really would like to get my Westy up and running before winter hits, but it looks like that's going to be next week.

Oh well.

Signing off for now.

Kyle.
