I don't know if anyone is interested, or who receives radio programs via www, but there is a program that comes out of Canada which is anecdotal, humorous and represents the best of Canadian folklore and story-telling I've heard in years.

I receive Stuart McLean's "The Vinyl Cafe" at www.northcountrypublicradio.org. On radio receivers, the station broadcasts from more than a dozen transmitter sites and repeaters throughout the Northeastern New York State, and along the Canadian border. The frequency I use to listen is 88.3 kHz. The program "airs" weekly at 1:00 PM (EST) Wednesdays. Similar to Garrison Keiller, but more colloquial and the guy highlights local musicians. I picked up his last year's Christmas pack (2 CDs) and continue to chuckle at the tales spun using local color from throughout the Dominion of Canada. It makes for great down-the-road-around-the-campfire listening.
