I would so not use that front luggage rack ! Several things wrong about it ....bad aerodynamics - creates turbulence , catches the wind etc. Water and leaves and tree crud fall into it, go into the drain holes....eventually you've got 25 pounds of nicely composted soil under it. I'd make a fairing - I'm sure it's been done a lot already by somebody. Fiberglass would be a good material. If you know anything about boat construction.......especially what's called stitch and glue method of thin material.....that works. I faired mine over smooth with quarter inch marine plywood. I left a few tie points on so I could tie junk up there if I want to , but it's not where you want weight, or things that ad aero drag. Scott www.turbovans.com

I picked up a used poptop for my multivan converstion yesterday but there was no front part aka luggage rack. I got everything else but I really need the front part before I can start this project.

Does anyone have the fiberglass front luggage rack part they would like to sell (give?) me? I'm in the Pacific Northwest, Olympia WA to be exact. Seems like a big item to ship so I'd like to pick it up local (Seattle or Portland) if possible.

The poptop I picked up is a late model white one but any color is alright because I'm thinking of painting it Dove Blue to match my van.

Thank you,

Lee 89 Syncro [multivan]
