Actually these are HIDs that are designed to work in a conventional light shell.

See eBay auction 260174593180 for what I am thinking about.

These are something like 20.000V as they have a ballast that generates this sort of voltage.

I have seen the 5400 Kelvin H1 (or was it H3 - I forget) version of these in the Halla Luminator (Hella Rallye 4000) and all I have to say is they a freaking bright!
