Subject: That "peppy" 2.2L

So, tonight, after we finished another Subi conversion, we had a litle race between my red 85 2.5L van and a 2.2L 84.... (just a stop sign to stop sign).

My van was heavy, fully loaded and full of gas and water, the 84 was empty. Still, that 2.2L was in front of me, not far but slighly in front! (and i sadly hit the cut-off twice at 6700rpm) so i lost ground... he he he

The 92 2.2L Legacy (very low millage-23,000miles) had some "pep"!!!! in third gear I was ready to pass him fast but the stop sign came. This is where the 2.5L love it, in higher speed! But dargn, that 2.2L is was peppy as the 2.5L in low gear, amazing little piece of engineering. Where would a 2.1L have been in all that! way way way behind!

We did some video today and tonight, ptetty cool one, some of the engine running on idle with a 5 cent on the side on it, pretty cool. we also did some road test with the camera... also pretty cool. we will post them very soon.

Later, Ben http://www.benplace.com/
