Subject: '88 fuel pump not vibrating
Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII

Hi everyone. Nice to be back on the list after taking time off for my wife's medical challenges. Here's my current puzzle. After letting my camper sit for about 3 months, I didn't get the usual buzz from the fuel pump when I turned the key. The engine turns over (and even fires a bit at first) but will not start. The fuel pump relay clicks and I have continuity from the relay connector through the pump to the ground in the engine compartment. What do you folks suggest I do next? Test the voltage and/or amperage from the relay output to ground? Can the pump "freeze" from sitting too long? Are there other parts (fuse, etc) of the circuit that might be at fault? Thanks in advance to anyone with thoughts to share. Lee Kouns
