We used to stay at the "Exxon Hotel" in my '67 bus.? We'd pull into a closed gas station and park along side the other cars.? I'd open up the engine compartment door to show the vehicle was in some kind of distress,?get back inside and have a good night's sleep.? I remember one night a police crusier drove over the air hose by the gas pumps setting off the rather loud warning bell which gave us a thrill, but he didn't suspect the van was occupied.? It was a good idea to leave early in the AM before the station opened. Tom Illinois
