I am very sorry for your loss. Many have bashed eBay for this reason, but I feel you are way more protected with the auction format and paying via PayPal. I buy and sell a lot of things through this process and have only had a few good bad. I also have recovered 100% of my money from fraudulent auctions that were paid for with PayPal. In the future ask for detailed photos, talk to the seller on the phone and use PayPal. Hope this helps. dylan ----- Original Message ---- From: Kai Mei <kai@NEWCLEAR.US> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Tuesday, October 30, 2007 5:11:25 PM Subject: I seem to have gotten burned... by someone in portland, ore. I bought a used cat, and muffler sold as good conditon for $40 plus shipping. The cat has broken flanges and is EMPTY. (I mainly need the cat and thought it would be ok to have a spare muffler. Bought from a samba ad... do I have any recourse to get that $ back? The seller does not return email.
