On my 1.9 engines, if I disconnect a working O2 sensor, the only
noticeable difference is lower gas mileage.  It goes from about 21 mpg
to about 17 mpg.


When I've had a bad sensor, my symptom has has always been "Really poor"
gas mileage and stumbling at highway speed.


You know what they say, though.  YMMV
