Seems like I have seen or measured 6'10" at some point for the stock westfalia with stock tires/springs. I went into an underground parking garage in Manhattan some years ago to park for a Grateful Dead show with the clearance marked at 7 feet. All was well until I came to the fluorescent fixtures that were a few inches lower. With a line of cars behind me and only one way out I could only go through popping tubes that sounded like gunshots! Tripping hippies freaked and hit the floor all around. I felt bad about it at the time but looking back it was kind of funny.

David Clarkson 90 Westy (245k-veteran of many Dead shows)
