  Yes, thank you for vindicating my 'opinion'.  But hey, you actually have
done a few of these, eh?   I was speaking to the 'Nay-sayers' who seem to
bring up all kinds of "reasons" why such conversions suck, many of whom seem
to be quoting 'common knowledge' rather than citing actual hands-on
experience with this type conversion.
  I was warned that talk of any motor transplant other than a subie would be
greeted with  derision on the list.  Thing is, I've not heard much, aside
from your posts, from people who've actually owned or converted one to the
little 1.8 liter VW inline.  I have hear plenty from others, almost all
negative...so we must be wrong, eh?

and since I do this full time, with total passion, maybe I am slightly
actually somewhat of an 'expert.' And there are a lot of good things about
this simple conversion. And I'm not looking for recognition or anything, I'm
just saying 'I'm one who might know' .

  And it's expensive, hard to install, buzzes like crazy, gets crappy
mileage, won't go over 40 mph and...what else?

  I guess that about sums it up from all the expert's comments.

  But mine works better  than all that, and I actually can see it right out
my window, it is real.
