RE: Camping on PCH near Santa Barbara Thanks for the great responses from several people that know the area. I'm sure that what I saw was the area described by those that responded. I just missed seeing any signs or pay boxes as I drove by. Looking on Google Earth shows a long stretch of end to end 'land yachts' along there at the time the aerials were taken. I was traveling through there around the end of January and there were just a few large rigs there. BTW, I've looked and looked at the views on Google Earth and I'll be damned if I can find a stretch in there that corresponds with my memory of the road I drove on. Just goes to show how inaccurate memory can be about what the geography realy looks like.
