That's me! I picked my van up earlier this summer off of craigslist. It runs well (rebuilt water-cooled with ~210,000 miles) but needs a decent bit of interior cosmetic help. Its my first. ----- Original Message ---- From: mordo <helmut.blong@GMAIL.COM> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Wednesday, November 7, 2007 2:52:57 PM Subject: Vanagon sightings Speaking of such, anyone on this list own the custom, teal-blue painted Westy parked on Hampden Ave in Baltimore? It is still fairly rare to see Vanagons in Baltimore. I think I've counted 6 distinct regular residents. Others I've seen passing through. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Brendan Slevin <brendan@bellatazza.com> Date: Nov 7, 2007 1:42 PM Subject: Vanagon sightings To: vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com
Here in Bend, Oregon we are blessed with so many Vanagons around us. My sightings would go something like this: 8:56am Downtown Bend, I was waiting, pointed east, at the Franklin light and you we across from me in a blue GL pointed west. 8:56am Downtown Bend, I was waiting, pointed east, at the Franklin light and you came through the intersection going south on Wall St in a brown Syncro Westy. 8:56am Downtown Bend, I was waiting, pointed east, at the Franklin light and you were two cars behind me in a silver Carat. 9:03am Downtown Bend, I was in a parking spot at near the coffee shop and you went by on Bond St. in a tan Westy. 9:03am Downtown Bend, . . .
