I have tried numerous stop leaks and different coolant mixtures.
They all have done what they said they would.
Very minor external head gasket weeping was stopped and the external surface dried up after 100miles.
I have no idea about long term or cooling system effects, but the minor stuff was plugged up.

I will mention as well that I have had two of the tank caps get plugged up from the stuff.  Once replaced, the system would self bleed as it should.

Hi,


The other day, while scanning Vanagon stuff on e-bay, I saw a listing
for Subaru Cooling System Leak-Stop (I looked tonight and the listing
apparently expired). The ad stated that it has been used successfully
in Vanagons to help with head gasket leaks. Being a long-time listee,
I don't recall ever seeing any postings regarding this product.

So, has anyone ever tried this?
