Absolutely! I had a set of tires that were rated lower than what they were
replacing on my car. The replacements were only good to 140mph, which was
funny because the car could only do 100mph, but the factory decided snazzy
looking Z rated tires would draw the go fast crowd. Everyone I asked said NO
NO NO. I went to the local small town independent tire shop and he put them
on for 12 bucks each. Didn't ask, so I didn't tell him.
