Hi all. This is for a 15 degree I4 install of a stock ABA 2.0 engine. To provid visual reference for "proper" installed height of I4, could I : transfer mark from centre of crank pulley on my current air cooled engine to frame or sheet metal in engine bay? And.... It seems the stock ABA will install at 5-6" above engine lid but there MAY be a few inches I can play with in terms of lowering the I4. Ground clearance aside, what components might be negatively affected by lowering the engine? Shift linkage for sure, but CV's? Or ? Since I have an extra Westy rear mattress, the plan was to adjust engine height so dimension of new deck and stock rear mattress, would equal the Z-bed + spare extra mattress. If that makes sense. I would remove upper bunk, and travel with spare mattress stowed there. Thanks for any help! Neil.
