I recently used this tutorial, but didn't do the actual pressing myself. I went to my usual tire store and asked them to do it. I took the knuckles in and happened to ask what they were going to charge, wondering if it would be thirtyish or sixtyish. They said it would be $150, and I told them that their shop rate would have to be $700 an hour for that to make sense, and said that I could go buy a press at Harbor Freight for $30 and left. On the way to buy the press, I passed by another tire store that I once used and asked what they would charge. The guy behind the counter said that he'd get the machanic to do it on his own time at break. I asked the mechanic how much. He asked if I was paying by cash or charge, and I told him cash. He did the job for $20. It pays to ask around.
