Ok, so if you hook up a motor to the speedo somehow and you spin the speedo
up the 100 miles an hour an leave it there for 24 hours, your odo should
tick up 2400 miles, right?  So then if you do this for 13 days, you'll be up
to 31,200 miles.  What could possibly go wrong? :)

With the topic of running out of gas being discussed, i would like to
inquire about odometer fixes. I too seem to have a debateable fuel guage,
and a non working odometer/trip counter. I also need to have more miles on
the car than i had last year in order to pass PA inspection this year, quite
a problem when the Odometer never worked. Luckily i have a spare
odometer/speedometer face that works! However, i need to add at least 30K
miles to my spare before i can put it in my bus and be legal. My question
therefore is, is there a good way to ADD miles to an odometer? I've seen one
guide online but i have had no luck with removing the speedometer needle and
feel it will be destroyed if i attempt. Furthermore, how much work is it to
switch out the speedometers? I would assume it's just the removal of the
dash cluster and a simple replacement, but i'm not sure.
What have you guys done to fix your odometers?
