All great suggestions. Getting to Mt. Abraham is fairly easy too. Head east from U.S. Rt 7 on Rt 116 through Bristol. After leaving Bristol, take the right turn just across the bridge heading up to Lincoln. Look for the signs.

If you want to go across the mountains to the Warren/Waitsfield and Sugarbush region, don't take the right just across the bridge. Stay on Rt 116 and travel approx. 3-5 miles looking for the right hand road and signs which point to Jerusalem, VT. I forget the Rt #, but it heads over the mountains through Appalachian Gap, and brings you down to Vt Rt 100. Left to Waterbury and onward north to Stowe. Right on Rt 100 southward with only small towns for most of the route for a hundred miles or so into Massachusetts - lots of woodlands, but I haven't found many hiking trails in that region. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mervyn Readman" <themervino@CS.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Saturday, November 03, 2007 9:01 PM Subject: Re: NVC: Friday....VERMONT!!!
