Hey everyone,

I was traveling North on M-25 in the Lakeport, MI area last night. Patty and I had stopped to get some gas and while she was inside getting some things I saw in my rear view mirror a Westy pull in - Pulling another Vanagon.

I got a chance to talk to the guy - his name was Marty. He's not on the list but said he probably will be soon. He had come up from the Toledo area to get this other Vanagon and take it home. He said he traded an Audi for it. He was driving an '82 Deisel Westy and pulling that '84 GL. From where we were to where he was going was about 130 mi.

Said he was planning on converting that '82 to Veggie.

Nice guy and an interesting very unexpected sighting.

-- Thanks,

Jeff '90 Carat (Grover) '86 (We call this one Parts) '85 GL (Preparing to move to a new Home) '78 Bus (Melissa) Patty's Bus
