Hey Ric,

I've used the "Subaru Cooling System Conditioner" in my van (2 bottles) and have had success stopping the leak I had at the top of the passenger side cylinder nuts. I've driven across the country a couple of times and have had absolutely no problems.

When you add this stuff be sure to do it when the engine is overnight cold. Then displace some of the coolant out of the expansion tank. Then add one bottle of the conditioner. Then run the engine until the thermostat just starts to open. Then shut the engine off. That way you don't get this stuff clogging up the radiator.

I usually wait a day to run the van to let the goop settle. I'll add another bottle if it still leaks.

I got this procedure from Dennis Haines.....
