Hi Chad,

You mentioned "anywhere" so I thought I'd chime in with some general advice. When I lived in Texas, the were pretty strict, and they definitely checked the reverse lights....but, there were always stations that were "less thorough" than others - that's where I always took out old 300D Sweet Pea.

A quick check around the office may turn up some valuable information regarding less-than-thorough check stations. (This is presuming you have more than one in your area)
