FWIW --- I swore off these things too. I never liked them to begin with but the reason I stopped using them is that they are a horrible strain to dispose of. There is a sign up in every Ontario Provincial Park beggin people to take the empties home because it costs $2 to dispose of the things. Often you can buy them for less money than it costs to dispose of them and that just doesn't make sense to me. I'd guess that the cost of safe disposal would be similar in other jurisdictions.
