Mike, can I ask how you remember the cop's name? I couldn't remember a cop's name if he pulled me over yesterday. In general, the lack of flashing blue lights in the rear view mirror is one of the great, money-saving features of these vans. I know in my Saabs its always a concern as they feel like they're built to cruise at 110 or so, and each 80-in-a-70 zone ticket is worth about 10 tanks of gas. With the Vanagon, cops just look at you and think, "Nah, they can't be speeding in that old thing..." |
