My parents towed a 5th wheel across the country and back (Canada, that is), and used
synthetic the whole way except one oil change done at the dealer, and the mileage difference
was noticeable. (don't recall what it was, but something like 1-2 mpg.)
Oh yeah, the reason for the dealer service... a fire caused by an overheated tranny going up
the Coqihalla Hwy only 4 hours into their trip. :-(
Yes, those trannies are cr*p. The tranny had new synthetic and a new oil cooler installed
before the trip...
