025-903-141-C, $38.15 last time I bought one. This is a fairly common failure item. The usual causes are a bad alternator, beginnings or out f balance. The next cause if folks who leave the lower alternator pivot bolt slightly loose to allow easy belt changes or adjustments. Last is the wrong nuts or washer to hold the bracket on the case. You need the P.C. 10.9 stuff here. If replacing the studs, do not use exhaust studs which are only P.C. 5.8. If the case is stripped out is heli-coil or oversized stud time. Next is weld time. Dennis

Now: suck fuel/air through vaccum side of fuel regulator? I don't understand why the alternator bracket can be in such a bad shape. Mine on both 83.5 and 84 are tight, fit and like the day one I got them. In the junkyard people will yank the alternator but leave the bracket alone. They can be had for a few bucks I believe.
