I'm thinking about replacing my original 1.9 motor in my 85 Westfalia (300k km) with a rebuilt motor from one of the US vendors. Can anybody give me any advice as to what to expect regarding shipping costs/companies (both ways if I send back the core I guess), duties/taxes etc? Any do's and don'ts? My plan B is to drive the van out to a reputable rebuilder in Ontario or Quebec and make a holiday out of it but with 300k km on the motor you never know!
