Hi folks, I'm in the process of installing an aftermarket PDL kit w/remote into my '89 Wolfsburg Edition. I'm going to use the stock wiring to the sliding door and rear hatch, but the latter is giving me fits. I can't figure out where to tie-in to the rear hatch wiring, 'cause I can't find where it originates. I assume it's somewhere up behind the fusebox, but damned if I can locate the source in all that clusterf@#k. I do know it runs along the roofline on the drivers side, and can locate it by popping out the air vents up there. The wiring just magically appears behind the drivers seat, but doesn't run along the same roofline channel if you pop out the front dome light fixture. Does anyone who's been either dismantled later vans, or messed with PDL wiring know how the rear hatch wiring is routed--or, where it originates? I'm just trying to locate the point furthest forward that I can connect with the new wiring. TIA Casey '89 Wolfsburg Edition |
