So we're leaving today or Seattle from Bend, Oregon. About 650 miles round trip. We are camping just north of Portland tonight, to break up the drive for our 10 month old, at a place called Paradise Point State Park. Anyone been there? Anyway, we are spoiling ourselves with our first electrical hook-up. We've never thought of Totoro as a camper but this time we're outfitting the van with a small space heater, dvd player and some white Christmas light strung around the interior for house lights. Woo hoo. We are trying to do this trip as cheap as possible so Friday night we are hitting, get this, an RV park(!!!) just east of Seattle. Saturday night will be luxurious as we are splurging on a room at the Moore hotel, though we've never been there and it is also fairly cheap. Wish us luck, I have packed the requisite tools/fluids/Bentley/ voltmeter.
