In 1957 I actually got a ticket for wearing a seatbelt.

Gene Pate, a Texas highway patrolman, pulled me over and cited me for "Using racing equipment on a public highway". Cars didn't come with seatbelts in those days and mine was a surplus aviation harness.

Now, I could get a ticket for NOT wearing one. Can you say, "Full circle"?
