Subject:      question about painting the spare tire tray

I want to paint the underside the spare tire tray black. Mostly for
cosmetic reasons and I'm wondering between just using something like
por 15 and semi glass black or  undercoating with a spray on brand.
My fear is the undercoating is a real PITA to take off at a later
date. The por isn't so bad as it can be painted over if need be at a
later date. My van at least seems to have some undercoating on it but
not so much on the underside of the tray, the part you see when
looking at the van.

So what have others done and found worked best.
