BTW, Jim,

Should you strip out one (or more) of the Allen head or star fasteners, especially on the outboard CVs (inside the cave) they are easily removed with a Craftsman "Impact grade" Bolt Out. The impact grade bolt outs have a square in the end for driving with a 3/8" socket and extension where necessary. They're fluted and fit over the bolt head(s). You tap them on then, as you turn to remove, they grip tighter and tighter. I have done this and, believe me, it's MUCH easier than wrestling with the axle nut and axle.
