Both pressure plate and flywheel fit only one way. If the dowels are missing from the flywheel, that the pressure plate fits over, then the p. plate would fit 6 ways, but if the roll pins/dowels are there, it only fits one way.

The engine sits on the bench, and I have been reading the procedure for removing the pressure plate, and checking the clutch surface. They all say to mark the pressure plate and the flywheel to be able to relocate them the same way.

What is the penalty for when an overly exuberant son pulls it off, without making the marks?

Is it some kind of balancing issue? What to do now?

Thanks,

John
