Subject: MC and Slave Bleeding Question

Hey All,

I'm changing out the Clutch MC and Slave this weekend.

I have heard that you can submerge the end of a hose coming off the bleed valve on the slave into a jar of brake fluid...

and then just leave the valve open while you pump the clutch watching bubbles come out - thus avoiding the: Pump....loosen valve...close valve...release....pump...loosen valve...close...etc.

i.e. The communication dance of the clutch bleed tango

I guess the idea is if the hose stays submerged, it cannot suck up air - theory seems sound to me, but I haven't tried it.

Is this a method anyone has used? Please only respond if you HAVE USED THIS METHOD AND KNOW FOR SURE IT WORKS...or IF YOU HAVE USED IT AN FOUND IT A TERRIBLE METHOD

My now very pregnant wife...aka "the clutch pumper" would very much appreciate this method to avoid me belting out directions from under the wheel well...if it does indeed work.

-Ben
