Sorry to break your rule and respond without having done it <g>

I can't imagine this can work properly, since the bleeder valve has to
be open all the time, and some air is going to leak back in. Spare your
wife and your lungs :-) and buy a Mighty Vac at harbor freight or
wherever, and just vacuum bleed the line. Much faster, much cleaner, and
more reliable. Avoid the cheepy  versions. A pressure bleeder is best,
but the MV is more than adequate, and can be used to test other vacuum
systems. $35 is what I think HF gets for it.
