John,

You might want to give APR, Audi Performance and Racing, in Auburn a call. They have custom pieces fabricated for their turbo kits and might be able to point you in the right direction.

Good luck!

Boy, this project goes on and on --

Well, the company that was going to do the vacuum forming for me kept the pieces for quite a while, looked at them, studied, them, then after several conversations finally decided they could not do the work from where it stood - meaning that without a mold all ready made for them to work with, they would not be able to do it, as they were not really set up to make the molds. I was given the name of a company who supposedly had laser scanning equipment that could scan and generate the number set required to have a mold set CNC'd on a milling machine to give me the molds I needed. Well, that company moved, no forwarding address that anyone could find, and they were not listed in the phone book, nor did "Information" have them. I was stumped. I knew the company, has a big name and big rep here in the south, but I could not find them anywhere. As I was about to give up, I was cruising in an area that I don't travel often, and LO! there was a big sign - Conversions.. I found them.

I have an appointment next week with their engineering dept. to show and tell and see what they think. So, one more brick in the road -- so to speak.

Will post again soon, with good news I hope.

Regards,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver Chelsea, AL
