Subject: How to correct "vague" 4 speed shifter
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed

The shifter in my new-to-me '91 GL is rather vague. I'm used to VW shifters being pretty crisp, in particular I'm thinking of the same year Jetta GL I once owned.

It's hard to find 1st and 2nd, in particular. 3rd and 4th less so.

I've seen various "repair" kits for the shifter linkage -- is this what I need, or does it sound like something needs to be adjusted?

Allan -- '91 GL
