The black box is a noise filter capacitor. The wire connects to the main battery wire. If a factory Westy with the Fridge relay, there should be a 2nd filter connected with the blue wire for the warning light. This is to absorb the voltage spike when the relay coil is de-energized. Do not worry to much about that one. In the process, I broke a black wire on the rear of the alternator. The broken wire leads to a little black box.
